I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Personally I have so much to be thankful for & this is not lost on me! This is one of my favorite readings on which to reflect:
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates vision for tomorrow.” — Melody Beattie
I had an amazing, cozy, rejuvenating, romantic, decadent, communal, beautiful holiday! I am so charmed. Here are a few of my favorite things from this holiday:
THESE cookies, which earned high praise. I love sharing a sweet treat!
My absolute favorite spot on the planet, overlooking the Pacific Ocean
Bubbles on the deck
Beach graffiti, from my favorite secret beach town
And his new favorite toy, which we rode to our favorite local hike (below)
Bass Lake…where people were going off the rope swing (in November!) & we saw a bobcat!
Urban Outfitters Shark Socks, which I got for all of our surfer friends
Our friends were kind enough to share their family Thanksgiving dinner with us, followed by a giant kitchen dance party DJ-ed by their 17 year old nephew. Love this new jam by TNGHT (hear the full EP HERE and download their full ‘Mission Statement’ mix HERE).
