Jennifer Zeuner Evil Eye & Hamsa Lariat Necklace (available at Bergdorf Goodman)
I’ve already mentioned my fixation on hamsa hands & warding off the evil eye lately. I love superstitions & I recently read they have performance benefits too (Oprah says!). So I’m obsessed with this necklace & I’m pretty sure I must have it.

4. Savenor’s Bag
I have to share the story behind this bag. A few months ago, I had to take a business trip to DC. I knew Julia Child’s kitchen (yes, her actual kitchen!) was on display at the Smithsonian, but my work schedule was so packed, I literally dashed to the Smithsonian via the Metro during a break just to see it. I have developed a bit of a Julia Child obsession. It was well worth it to see her famous, yet frills-free, kitchen. After my business trip, I swung in a quickie side trip to my beloved nyc. I guess I must have been raving about my Child’s experience & a dear friend mentioned that her family frequents the same butcher Julia used. O-M-G. Flash forward a few months & this tote arrives at my office! So thoughtful. The surprise arrival totally made my Friday & it makes the perfect carry-all for my weekly trip to the local Farmer’s Market. Now I will always have Julia’s inspiration with me as I peruse the produce & be reminded of what sweeties I have for friends.
desert destination
In honor of Coachella, I am finally getting around to a quickie post about my Palm Springs vacation a couple weeks ago. The desert really is one of my favorite places to unwind. It’s so magical, especially this time of year when the temps are engaging & the wildflowers are blooming.
Ace Hotel Swim Club tank, one of my favorite poolside scenes in ps

The Saguaro - tried out a new hotel this trip (my favorite is The Parker). I’d heard good things about the new(ish) Saguaro, which joins the Joie de Vivre family & the raging motel makeover trend…maybe it was spring break, but the pool scene was overrun with kiddos & marking out your pool chair real estate was super agro. They did graciously check us in considerably early, the poolside menu was tasty & the beds were super comf. They also offer a morning yoga class & bikes.

Pool essentials — SPF, sunnies, Panama hat, & marg. The vibrant colors on display at the hotel represent the local wildflowers.

Some desert-worthy nail art & polish (Wet n’ Wild ‘Sunny Side Up’, 99 cents!)

While we were in town, we also perused Villagefest, a weekly street fair. I picked up some cute earrings from a street vendor to remember the trip.

I’m on the hunt for round clear-framed sunnies with reflective lenses, I’d love to know where these are from!
