I am munching on a heaping bowl of cherries & looking forward to summer just around the corner! Easy like Sunday as my yoga teacher always says… Hope you’re enjoying this moment. View high resolution

Lazy Sunday reading.  So happy to see one of my fashion favorites, Kerry Washington, on the cover of Elle!  I spotted it in line at the grocery & purchased immediately.

Skinny Mini

I’m not generally a Gap girl.  My style is seldom described in the realm of perky or preppy.  Cardigans (except the baggy 90s grunge kind) bum me out.  But every once in awhile, a girl needs a comfy staple!  The Gap Skinny Mini Skimmer doesn’t look like much, but the fit is flattering & it can be styled a million ways.  Because even Sunday errands deserve some love.  (Plus I nabbed mine during an in-store sale for only $35!)  Right now you can use code ‘GAP35’ for 35% off your purchase.  If you really want to get on the prep wagon, pair it with a fun color-block striped tank.

1. The Loose Leaf teas 2. Ray-Ban aviators 3. In season blood oranges 4. Savenor’s Bag
I have to share the story behind this bag.  A few months ago, I had to take a business trip to DC.  I knew Julia Child’s kitchen (yes, her actual kitchen!) was on display at the Smithsonian, but my work schedule was so packed, I literally dashed to the Smithsonian via the Metro during a break just to see it.  I have developed a bit of a Julia Child obsession.  It was well worth it to see her famous, yet frills-free, kitchen.  After my business trip, I swung in a quickie side trip to my beloved nyc. I guess I must have been raving about my Child’s experience & a dear friend mentioned that her family frequents the same butcher Julia used.  O-M-G.  Flash forward a few months & this tote arrives at my office!  So thoughtful.  The surprise arrival totally made my Friday & it makes the perfect carry-all for my weekly trip to the local Farmer’s Market.  Now I will always have Julia’s inspiration with me as I peruse the produce & be reminded of what sweeties I have for friends.
